I feel like I am always playing catch up these days! March was a busy month for us. Savannah's 3rd birthday was on the first, so we had a family get together with the grandparents which was a lot of fun and as usual our princess was spoiled.
I pulled up the Publix website and showed her all the princess cakes and she picked Giselle from Disney's Enchanted which is one of her favorite movies. The cake was adorable, she loved it!

My three year old!
The week after her birthday we were getting ready to go to dinner and Savannah saw me putting my earrings in. She asked where hers were and I told her she didn't have her ears pierced. She asked if she could get them done and I told her to ask her Daddy, figuring he would say no. But he said it was fine, and I had always said when she was old enough to ask for them she could get them. So on our way to dinner we stopped by the mall and got her ears pierced!

In the car on the way to the mall- doesn't she just look too grown up?!?
Waiting patiently and nervously to get them done, hugging on her best friend Melman the Giraffe.
The piercing!
She did really well, considering. I was a little bummed that they didn't do them simultaneously but she was a champ and let them finish the job before she really broke down. We had warned her it was going to hurt, but she really wanted them done! I don't have a really good picture of the finished product because I was loving on her but I'll try to get one to post.
The weekend of the 14th Kevin and Stephanie came down from Georgia for the baby shower that Janice and I hosted for her. It was a great shower, and a lot of Kevin's friends were able to come, and they got a lot of really nice presents for baby Emerson. It is hard to believe she will be here in just a few weeks! We definitely can't wait to meet our new niece!
The weekend after the shower we decided to finally do something about the awful landscaping that the builders put in our front yard. We have a narrow bed just outside the front door that had some awful little flowering bushes and we just hated them. So we headed down 301 to a couple nurseries and ended up not only buying plants to fill the bed, but 3 big palm trees and 5 birds of paradise to go out front! We had been wanting to add trees for a while but never got around to it. We got a great deal- the guy we bought them from gave us free delivery and installation since we bought so many trees! I haven't taken any pictures besides the ones on my cell phone of any of the landscaping but it looks fantastic! We just love it and have gotten so many compliments from people in the neighborhood on it. All of the landscaping actually took up the last two weekends so we have been pretty busy!
To keep Savannah occupied while we were digging in the dirt, we bought a slip 'n slide! I never had one as a kid but Brad did and he was showing Savannah videos on YouTube of them and she was super excited when we saw one at WalMart one day so we picked it up.
It got to the point where she didn't even use the float, she would just run all the way down the slip 'n slide to the very end and then jump into the puddle at the end. She had so much fun using it!
As for Landon, he has started walking!! He started taking tentative steps around the first week of March and by the second week was taking 5-7 steps between Brad and I. And in the last week or so he is walking almost 100% of the time! He is so cute, I can't stand it. He is really becoming a toddler and has just about left everything baby behind. He is starting to try to say more words, and says "Boo" for Boone, when he pets the dogs he says "pat, pat, pat" and I swear he said nose the other day. I am trying to teach him where his eyes, nose, etc are but he loses interest pretty quickly and wants to go back to walking!

Eating a popsicle for the first time.
Making silly faces :)
Practicing walking in the grass.
April is going to be even busier than May! We are heading to Gainesville/Ocala this weekend- Brad and the kids are staying with his parents while Jaime and I go to Jackonville, I am helping her shoot a wedding which is going to be a TON of fun. Then Sunday B and the kids are coming toGainesville for Madalyn's 2nd birthday. Next weekend we are going to see Mom and Dad for Easter, and then the following Wednesday Brad and I are going to Virginia for a mini-vacation and Ace and Jen's wedding! By the time we get back it is my birthday and the month is practically over!
