At Long Last

It's only been a few months since I promised to post a picture of the letters for Savannah's bedroom- well, better late than never right? I am just so in love with the finished product and couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. Now I just can't wait to see how they look hanging on the wall in her nursery, wherever that may be! Posted by Picasa

33 down, 7 to go

Yesterday marked the start of my 34th week of pregnancy. I had a check up this morning and everything looks good. Savannah was very active- her heart rate was 157! I am still feeling great, which is good. I've been pretty tired lately since I've had a hard time falling asleep at night- it is getting very hard to get comfortable! Poor Brad has to wake up at 7 o'clock in the mornings and has to deal with me ungracefully tossing and turning for an hour or two before I fall asleep! He's such a trooper, though- never a complaint.

And boy is it ever getting hard to roll over! Not to mention getting out of bed for my oh so frequent trips to the bathroom. I swear, Savannah avoids my bladder like the plague all day- and then as soon as I settle into bed she makes a beeline for it. Half the time I'll go to the bathroom and right before I even get back into bed I'll have to go again! But I just keep reminding myself that there's a sweet little girl in there and it makes it all worthwhile.

We started our prepared childbirth [aka lamaze] classes 2 weeks ago. They have been very informative and I am glad we decided to go. It covers pretty much everything, from the whole labor process to the actual birth, and then concludes with newborn care. We haven't done any breathing thus far- our instructor said that's the main focus during the last 2 weeks of class. It is so much fun to, when class is over, go to the nursery and look at all the brand new babies through the glass. They are just so sweet and it makes this whole process seem so much more real, being able to see the end result!

I have also become insanely itchy these past few weeks. My poor skin is being stretched so much and it itches all over. No amount of lotion does the trick, either. The best part of my day is standing under the water in the shower and getting my belly all soapy and then repeating the process over and over!

All in all I feel like I have just been so blessed this pregnancy. You hear so many horror stories and I just haven't had any real complaints about anything. Let's just pray that continues for the next 7 weeks!

Another New Baby!

A BIG congratulations to Chris, Julie and Grace who are expecting baby number two in September 2006! We love you and are so happy for you and cannot wait to see what the next 9 months brings!!

I just bet Grace is going to be so excited about being a big sister once she realizes that it's not Jenna inside Mommy's tummy but a brand new brother or sister for her to love! What a sweet sister she will be.... this baby is going to be so lucky and loved!
